Our Story #3

Initially, Caleb and I couldn’t wrap our heads around the idea of houses close together in the middle of nowhere because we were newbies in understanding New Urbanism. But the more we looked, the more we were drawn to it. There is a reason why cities like Charleston, Paris, and New York are popular destination spots and desirable places to live. The design is intentional and designed for people living in community, not the typical suburban sprawl you find in most American cities.

We had some mutual connections with the Dees and the Aulds and continued to meet wonderful families in CL; so we reached out to our realtor, Katie Chapman, to help us. Many of the homes are vacation homes and didn’t have the storage space we felt we needed for fulltime living. I am NOT a minimalist!

Katie called us about the corner lot on Ridgeline and Boulevard and by July 4th we had it under contract with plans to build! 🏡🇺🇸

I’ve included some photos from trips to New York, Charleston and most recently, Paris.
